Whether you prefer making your own tools or just have some scrap wood that is too valuable to burn, these clamps are an excellent (and quick) project. The challenge is finding quality stainless steel hardware, cutting the threaded rod to length, and cleanly finishing on the ends. To help we’re offering our clamp hardware as a kit and instructions on making the clamps can be downloaded here. You will need a 5/16-18 tap for the rod and if you want the counterbore, a 3/4” forstner bit. And while you’re at it, send us some pictures of your custom clamps. The wood selection, profiles, and uses for these clamps are endless.
